First Flicker

A personality test about the half second before you do anything

Everyone gets the same light. What comes out the other side depends on the prism. This test is about the first flicker: the half second before you do anything.

This is a short test built on the two triangles David Malan drew in 1979 to teach psychotherapists what actually happens in the two seconds after something difficult lands. Forty-nine questions, about twelve minutes. At the end you get a colour, a position, and a fairly direct description of how you handle conflict.

One thing to know going in: the questions are never about what you would do. They are about the half second before you do it. Three layers. How conflict lands in you, where the tension goes in your body, and which relationships your pattern runs in. No account and no email. Your answers are scored in this browser, and your result is saved only on this device.
